Fascinating slide show. As for your question, I think all this means that the church needs to try harder to keep up. Not to water down the message but to do a better job of translating it and communicating it in the context we live in.
Recently I started going to church again after an absence for about a year and it was surprising to me how much a church service has it’s own language, even it’s own rhetoric. I could easily see how it would feel very foreign to someone who’s never been to church..
